The Willows
The place to go for short-term rehab or intermediate and long-term skilled nursing care.
Want to get back on your feet and back to your life? The compassionate and highly trained team on our Oakmont campus is here to help with a personalized rehabilitation plan just for you.
The MyLife rehabilitation program takes a holistic approach. This includes the physical environment, the delivery of hospitality, and the clinical care you’ll receive while you’re here.
We do everything we can to help make your recovery easier. Early in the admission process, we’ll work with you and your doctor to develop your care plan. We learn about your needs and encourage you to perform everyday tasks you enjoy as part of your rehabilitation therapy.
Physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy are essential parts of the rehabilitation process. Because residents have a variety of different needs and care requirements, therapy services are available seven days a week based on your needs and your doctor’s orders, as well as on an outpatient basis after your discharge. Our short-term rehab community has been designed to encourage your mobility and independence, Enjoy free Wi-Fi, grab a quick bite in our Willow Tree Café, browse the lobby gift shop, or stroll along outdoor walking paths to help get moving again.
Our licensed therapists provide individualized care plans for:
- Joint replacements
- Post fracture and other musculoskeletal conditions
- Stroke recovery and other neurological conditions
- Parkinson’s disease
- General strengthening after hospitalization
- Conditions requiring physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT) or speech therapy (ST)
At Presbyterian SeniorCare Network skilled nursing communities, “person-centered care” isn’t simply something we say. A national, independent, non-profit authority for senior services, CARF, affirms that our care and focus on each resident are among the best in the Pittsburgh, PA region.
Our community promotes an individualized care philosophy to help make aging easier. Our teams include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants and social workers. We partner with you, your loved ones and your doctor to develop and administer a personalized care plan that includes nursing care, pastoral care and dining services. Residents live in private rooms with shared or private bathrooms. Each floor, which is referred to as a “neighborhood,” features an open country kitchen and common areas that encourage socialization and interaction among age and mobility peer groups.
In skilled nursing, we recognize that we are helping to support older adults that have a range of conditions and cognitive abilities. That’s why we go above and beyond in providing ongoing training for every team member, from our receptionists and dietary aides to our housekeepers and clinical professionals. Within our skilled nursing community, we know how to provide specialized care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. For residents who may need more intensive levels of dementia care, we offer an intimate memory support neighborhood on a dedicated floor called Woodside Gardens. Woodside Gardens features a multi-sensory room that serves as a means for promoting relaxation or stimulation for residents who may otherwise be unable to participate in traditional therapy or recreation programs.
